the 1938 glasgow empire exhibition

June 13, 2013 7:29 pm Published by Leave your thoughts colourkeysWe’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Nicky Mason’s Mum, who has very kindly given us her 1938 Bar-Let typewriter. We are absolutely delighted to have such a beautiful machine in our collection.Bought for Nicky’s Mum at the 1938 Glasgow Empire Exhibition, it has lived its whole life in Glasgow… until now, where it has since travelled to Edinburgh, Dundee and now Lincoln. It’s even got the instruction manuals, the cleaning brush — and it’s original wee oil can.I think we owe Mrs Mason’s Mum a thank you letter.bigcolourkeys
