a small part of some small, good things
May 2, 2013 6:01 am Leave your thoughts We were very happy to play a small bit part in the recent tribute event for World Book Night organised by Sarah Bodman of UWE.This year’s tribute was to Raymond Carver’s collection of stories Cathedral (1983); the story A Small, Good Thing was the starting point for the collaboration. An open call invited people to do a small, good thing, write it out and send by midnight on 22nd April.A low-fi, video was produced in the style of the original film clip for Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues, using those small, good things. Music written and played by Simon Butler and Simon Smith.http://youtu.be/sOueWbr3zBQ And talking of contributions, a colleague at the University of Lincoln has recently set up a blog called Purely by Chance; she is inviting people to upload a curio which will form an ongoing collection for a Cabinet of Curiosities, we’ve added a few things, so please take a look and get involved, it only takes a few minutes:http://www.purelybychance.co.uk/Home.htmlCategorised in: collaboration
