Book Description

This book was borne from the donation of six Enid Blyton editions from the 50s. When researching Blyton, it became clear that opinions of her books had changed in recent years, therefore it was reviews of Blyton’s novels that became the basis of the project.

 

Using online sources, each unfavorable comment relating to Enid’s novels was recorded; a system was devised so that the more recurrent the word, the larger it would appear. The words are over-printed onto sequential pages from a 1957 edition of Five get in a Fix – therefore causing the original content to be obliterated.

 

Letterpress printed with digitally printed endpapers, and a typewritten introduction. Each book is contained within a brown paper bag.
