Book Description

A friend’s lockdown spring clean of her kitchen cupboards, and the subsequent discovery of a jar of herbs dating from 1976, prompted a search for other food-based misdemeanors amongst family and friends. Ten out-of-date food items are illustrated in reverse date order – and present an insight into the hidden depths of the store cupboard and our food-hoarding habits.

 

The 10pp concertina book combines letterpress and simple block printing to explore each item, with typed information to the reverse and grey board covers.
