Philippa’s collaborative artists’ book project with Angie Butler – Open House – takes a new direction this week, as 12 people – including artists, academics, and writers, are invited to host the pair of books within their own homes for a three week period. Each host will be invited to write a commentary about some aspect of the book; they will also asked to produce a response to one of the 12 themes upon which the books were originally based (blue, memento, cabinet, flowers, table setting, inherited, wooden, extravagance, collection, feel, inside, utensil) by photographing a relevant space or object within their own home.
