Book description
A choose your own adventure story based on Canto One of Dante’s Inferno
Page 1
You awake in a dense, foreboding forest. The trees are tall and twisted, their branches intertwining to form a nearly impenetrable canopy that blocks out most of the light. The air is thick with a sense of dread and confusion, and every direction you look seems to lead deeper into the darkness.
You awake in a dense, foreboding forest. The trees are tall and twisted, their branches intertwining to form a nearly impenetrable canopy that blocks out most of the light. The air is thick with a sense of dread and confusion, and every direction you look seems to lead deeper into the darkness.
You feel a chill run down your spine as you realize you are utterly lost. The ground beneath your feet is uneven and treacherous, covered in roots and fallen leaves that crunch ominously with each step. Shadows dance around you, and the silence is occasionally broken by distant, eerie sounds that make your heart race.
The forest feels alive, almost sentient, as if it is watching you, waiting for you to make a wrong move. Half hidden, overgrown paths snake out from where you stand.
In the distance you see a great hill, with sunlight shining down on it. You have to try to find a way to reach it. To the north, you see what might once have been a path leading deeper into the forest. To the east, you hear the distant roar of a beast. To the west, you sense a chilling presence, and to the south the forest continues into darkness…
