Plotting
This book is the final reworking of Plot and explores the delights of the artists’ individual gardens in response to the theme ‘A productive plot is easier than you think’ a phrase taken from the 1962 book Taking the ache out of gardening by Stuart Dudley. Printed shapes map the location of items within each of the gardens that relate to an aspect of self-determined productivity: reward – what we eat, useful – functional structures and objects, valuable – where we relax, eat and drink, and abundant – the planting. Found text is letterpress printed and sits alongside tracings of garden tools used to support each section.
