Drawings from the Last Museum is a series of detailed pencil drawings that Darren Diss developed as design ideas for a new body of ceramic work.

Beginning with the outline of vessel forms, each drawing is filled with collaged imagery inspired by objects photographed at the Pitt Rivers Museum, and combining motifs from various different cultures.

The drawings explore visual complexity while reflecting on museum collecting, cultural appropriation, and the layered meanings of objects displayed outside their original contexts.
